A Calmer Dog Starts With A Really Fun Game.

Barking, jumping, pulling, ignoring your recall?

Lorna turns everyday dog problems into calm, happy behaviour by teaching through play.

Right here in Chilliwack.

A golden retriever sits in a sunlit park, looking to the right, with lush green trees and a winding path softly blurred in the background.
No harsh tools. No yelling. Just games your dog loves and learns from.

Kind, force free method

Positive, game based training from the UK's ProDog system. No shock, no prong, no fear. Your dog learns because they want to.

Built on real confidence

Games grow a dog's focus and self esteem, so calm behaviour holds up at the gate, on the leash and around distractions, not just in the living room.

You learn it too

Lorna teaches you the games and leaves you the training materials to keep, so the results carry on long after the lesson ends.

Why Dog Owners Choose Good Calm Dog Training

Training that feels like play and actually sticks

Fits your real life

Puppy manners, leash walking, recall, reactivity, separation worries or a fun new hobby. Every plan is shaped around your dog and your goals.

Local & hands on

Home visits and park sessions across Chilliwack and the surrounding Fraser Valley. Lorna has even met clients outside training hours to help.

Proven & loved

Champion level obedience background and a wall of 5 star reviews calling Lorna a “dog whisperer” who makes training genuinely fun.

Does your dog do any of these?

These are the four we hear about most. Every one of them is fixable, usually faster than you'd think.

Barks too much

At the window, the doorbell, other dogs. Noise that never seems to switch off.

Jumps on people

Muddy paws and knocked over guests every time someone walks through the door.

Pulls on the leash

Walks feel like a tug-of-war instead of time you both enjoy.

Ignores recall

You call, your dog keeps sniffing, and everything else seems more interesting than coming back.

Whatever it is, there's a game that fixes it.

Find the right fit for your dog

From brand-new puppies to fun sports and focused one-on-one help. Every program uses the same kind, game based approach..

MEET YOUR TRAINER

Hi, I'm Lorna 👋

Founder & Certified Dog Trainer · Good Calm Dog Training

I've loved dogs for as long as I can remember. I grew up showing them. My Irish Terrier, Chipper, earned his Canadian Champion title with obedience credentials, and I've been chasing the same feeling ever since: that moment a dog lights up because training finally makes sense to them.

In 2015 I found a group in the UK who train dogs by playing fun games with them, and it changed everything. I tested it on my own rescue dog, Pia, before I ever taught it to anyone, and the difference in her focus and confidence sold me for good.

“Lorna is an excellent teacher and dog whisperer. I learned so much from her.” · Good Calm client

Today I help owners across Chilliwack and the surrounding Fraser Valley turn barking, pulling and chaos into calm, confident companionship, the kind that makes life with your dog genuinely more relaxing. And yes, part of the job is being sexier than a squirrel.

Training should feel good for both of you.

Your dog’s behaviour is information. I’ll help you notice what is happening, choose a useful next step and practise it through short, achievable games.
  • Mark the moment: “Yes!” lets your dog know which choice worked.
  • Use rewards that matter: play, movement, sniffing and treats can all help.
  • Build at your dog’s pace: practise where your dog can succeed, then grow the challenge.
